Our Fantabulous Winter Vacation

We just got back from the most wonderful winter vacation ever! It turned out so fun and it was nice to get away and have something to look forward to in the winter! Here are some highlights.

We left Wednesday afternoon and headed to Logan. We went to the cheese factory (because, really, who can go to Logan without going to the cheese factory!) and the visitor's information center there in town and got some brochures of things to do. We stopped for dinner at Golden Corral and the girls had fun choosing what they wanted for dinner.

This is the Beaver Creek Lodge that we stayed at. We were on the second floor on the very right. The parking lot in the back was as high as the second floor, so we only had to carry our stuff up a few steps. Awesome!

This was our room. It wasn't super big, but big enough. We ended up putting Mikayla on the floor in a sleeping bag because all the girls are wild sleepers and we didn't want anyone falling out.
The next day we took some cute pictures of the girls. There was a huge jetted tub in our room and the girls took a bath every day. (And when I say bath, I mean played in the tub...!) It was a fun adventure!That night we went up to the game room and hooked the Wii up to the big screen TV and played a few games. It was fun to play with the huge screen. A little harder to get used to though!

The next day was probably our best day (oh, who am I kidding...it was THE best day!) When we got up it was snowing a LOT! We ate breakfast at the lodge (eggs, pancakes, ham, potatoes, fruit, juice, hot chocolate...!) and packed our stuff to leave. We had decided we were going to pack up and then take one last snowshoeing trip (which is the reason we went on vacation anyway!)

Well, as we are putting on our stuff, channel 2's Roughin' It crew shows up. We walk over and say hi and they asked what we were doing up there. Long story short they asked if they could shoot some footage of our family snowshoeing! How cool is that?!?!? So they shot some pictures of us walking around in the snow, and interviewed James and I and Rachel. It will air on February 7th!

Then we went snowshoeing and made the BEST snowman EVER! His name is Charlie and he is hilarious! Megan had a chocolate cookie in her pocket so we used that for the eyes and the buttons! But then something happened...normally cheerful Charlie changed....

he went crazy...and killed us all!


Anyway, that was our vacation. We sure didn't want to come home! And we can't wait to go on another winter vacation next year!
