December

Here are a few pictures of our December wanderings

The girls made a snowman named Queen Olivia.  Then they made a whole bunch of guards for the queen.  They didn't last too long, though, because the sun came out and melted them.  Poor snowmen!

Apparently, Olivia killed the girls.  =]

We went snowshoeing on Christmas Eve.  It was so beautiful!  There's a little pavilion that we like to hike to when we snowshoe.  There's even a fireplace inside.  But the doors were locked this time (although we could have climbed in through the windows...)  It looks pretty in the snow.

One of me in the sunshine!

And Rachel

And Megan, throwing powder in the air

And Mikayla trying to eat the frozen water drops on a tree!

It was so beautiful that day!  The sun was shining and the sky was cloudless and blue!  The weather was calm and not freezing.  The snow was a little bit crusty, but it was nice.  The girls are getting so good!  We met a cute little family up there that were going down the sledding hill.  They let the girls use their sleds a few times, but the snow was so hard that it was a REALLY fast ride!

Hopefully we can turn our Christmas Eve snowshoeing trip into a fun tradition!
