The Baby Animal Fair

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Logan to go to the Baby Animal Days.  We had a great time!  We stayed at a hotel with a pool, which the girls loved!  We basically had the pool to ourselves.  It was great.

These first few pictures are of the girls holding bunnies.  Rachel REALLY wants a bunny.  They were only $10, but we need somewhere to put them!  So we are working on putting together a hutch.  Fun!  (They really WERE pretty cute!)

 

Kaylie was so brave...like last year, they had dried bugs that you could eat.  Last year a few of us tried worms.  This year Mikayla and Rachel and James tried dried crickets.  ICK!  I can't believe they were so brave! 

They also had a really old bicycle that Rachel and Megan tried getting on and an old car.  The girls had a fun time climbing around inside it.  Then James climbed in.  The guy in charge tried to start it!  He said it really does run.  He had wanted to give people rides in it, but the organizers were worried that he would hit someone!   

This last pic is of the girls in our hotel room.  We went down to swim this morning and the girls came back just a few minutes before James and I.  By the time we got up to the room, they had made all three beds for us.  What awesome girls we have! 

We had a fabulous time!  We are all exhausted (we were up REALLY late last night and the girls woke up at six this morning and couldn't go back to sleep...they wanted to swim!)

  We may have to make this a yearly affair.  We love Cache valley!  And the organizers do a great job with the fair.  The girls got to pet animals and do a treasure hunt and ride on a train and learn about shearing sheep (I had no idea that lanolin came from the oils on the sheep skin!)  They had cotton candy and I got my kettle corn for the season.  They had face painting and musical instruments they could play and ponies to ride and shows and crafts and all kinds of fun stuff.  If anyone wants to come with us next year, let us know!
