September

Since September is almost over, I guess it is time to update the blog.  :)  September has been super busy at our house.  The girls started school the end of August.  It's been great!  They are all doing well and enjoying their teachers and school in general.  (We had student led conferences this week...we have awesome girls!)

I've been working all month.  A school in Herriman called me and asked if I could fill in for a lady that had just had surgery.  I've worked every day since school started (except for one Monday...)  It's been crazy!  I don't know how people do it.  I love working while my kids are in school.  That part has been great.  But it cuts out a huge part of my day without them.  By the time I drop them off for school, shower and eat breakfast it's just about time to leave for work.  And then I get home about a half an hour before I have to go get them.  :(  I'm sure gonna enjoy this paycheck though!

The girls started piano lessons at the beginning of the month.  So far it's been going good.  They are taking lessons for a girl in our ward.  She's 15 I think and adorable with the girls.  They all really like her and are learning a lot.  (If only they would practice more!)

Here are a few pictures from September...

Our Family Fun Week

So James took the week off work this week and we've been having a family fun week.

Monday we looked at tent trailers in the morning.  We found one we liked, but decided that maybe it's not quite the best time to buy one.  We'll have our van paid off in a few months...we will look again then.  Or in the spring.  :)  Monday night we went to a Bees game.  We each got a huge hot dog (except me...I got a philly cheesesteak sandwich...yum!) and watched the game.  We left a little bit early because the game went into overtime.  But we still had a great night.

Tuesday we packed up the van and went fishing at Lost Lake in the Uintas.  We each caught a few fish, although they were all pretty tiny and we had to throw a few back.  But we caught enough for dinner that night.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great time!

Wednesday we went to see the movie Brave (loved it!) and ate all the popcorn we could eat.  It was great being inside because it was HOT outside!  And then we went to Boondocks for James' company party that night. The girls had a blast!  Here are a few pictures...

Mikayla sure surprised me!  She drove the bumper boat AND a go cart all by herself.  My baby is not a baby anymore!

Thursday we couldn't decide what to do.  So James decided it would be a Girl Beautification Day.  Rachel and I got new haircuts.  (I should take a picture!)  Megan got a new sleeping bag (that's pink and brown.  I realize that's not a beauty thing, but she needed one for camping.)  And Mikayla got her ears pierced!  She was awesomely brave!  And all the girls got new earrings to wear.

She looks so stinkin cute!  And she really was pretty brave.  Probably braver than her mom was!  Super stressful!  But she did great and has been a trooper cleaning them every day.

Friday we had Rachel's middle school orientation.  (Seriously??  Middle school already?!?)  And when we got home, we had the van packed up and headed up to the property to watch the meteor shower.  It was overcast most of the day and kinda rainy, so we didn't know what kind of visibility we would have.  But it turned out wonderful!  The clouds parted and we were able to see a few meteors.  We went to sleep late (and woke up late...sorry!)  Got up and had breakfast with Mom and Dad and Rob and Jessica.  Then we came home, unpacked (ok, dumped everything in the living room!) and went out to Subway for dinner.

It has been a marvelous week!
